Announcements and Advice

• Eve's Friday office hour will now be held in ARC 231 from 11:30-12:30 PM

• The third Design Practical is on Monday November 23rd.  The following documents should be helpful so you can prepare:

  Experimental Uncertainties:  You WILL be expected to apply these principles to your design practicals this time.

  Testing Experiment Rubric this will be used to grade your work.  Read it so you know how you are going to be evaluated.

  Sample Design Practical This design practical is for a conical pendulum.  It is here to give you a sense of the kinds of things you'll be asked to do.

• There are two drop-in tutoring sessions that have been added to the instructor's office hours offerings.  There are now late night sessions available, from 10-11 PM in Barr Hall 1st floor study lounge.  You do not need to be a dorm resident to take advantage, these sessions are open to all 115 students.

• The simulations that we've been using in class can be found at the University of Colorado PhET page.  We've used:  Moving Man, Vector Addition and Forces in 1D.  You can either run them from their website, or you can download them and run them from your own computer.

• Here is the equation sheet that you will be permitted to use during the exams.  Try to familiarize yourself with it by using it during Summary Problems instead of your book.

• Here is a page with practice exams and their solutions from the past three years (including final exams and their solutions).

• Register your iClicker unit for lecture

• Check your grades in the Gradebook.  Please contact your TA if there are any errors.
